PE and School Sport Specialist:
Permanent full time position to start in June 2025
SHARES Lancashire is a leading cluster of primary schools within the North West. The cluster has created a unique company that has been developed by schools, for schools in order to provide a range of high-quality services for children and families.
We are currently seeking a passionate and child-centred PE & School Sports Specialist to join our team. They will work in partnership with our other SHARES PE and School Sport Practitioners to deliver national curriculum PE, school sport and an annual program of competitions to our primary schools.
The ideal candidate will ideally have experience of delivering national curriculum PE in schools, have a passion for PE and a commitment safeguarding. You must be highly motivated, reliable, have excellent communication skills as well as possess the ability to inspire children.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging physical education and sport lessons that promote skill development fitness and well-being among students.
- Foster a supportive learning environment by effectively communicating with students and addressing their individual needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop inclusive lesson plans for a range of students from 5-11 years old
- Monitor student progress and assess regularly using our assessment framework.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students during all activities, including outdoor sports and games.
The successful candidate must also have at least one level 2 qualification from a recognised National Governing Body for sport or Qualified Teacher Status.
